Dear colleagues,

It is my distinct pleasure to invite you to Kuala Lumpur from November 2 to 4, 2009 to attend the 19th ACI World & Asia-Pacific Conference and Exhibition.

Malaysia is proud and honoured to host this prestigeous event and is looking forward to welcoming delegates and exhibitors from all corners of the world. Apart from the highest level of conference speakers, I am looking forward to presenting a unique opportunity to meet and make friends and to establish new business relationships. Also, I promise that you will experience renowned Asian hospitality and friendliness during your stay. The Welcome Reception and the Gala Dinner will offer two occasions for you to immerse yourself in Asian culture.

I also recommend you to take some extra time and enjoy some of the spectacular nature and wildlife Malaysia is very fortunate to have.

ACI World & ACI Asia-Pacific

Dear Members,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to join the global airport community at the 19th World Annual Assembly in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which will be held in conjunction with the
Asia-Pacific Region this year. ACI is grateful for Malaysia Airports' commitment to hosting this prestigious event in 2009.

The industry is going through a tough year, and many ACI members are feeling the effects of the current economic crisis.  However, despite significant traffic declines recently, over 4 billion passengers are still expected to depart from airports around the world this year. The airport industry remains committed to an ongoing policy of offering excellent services to its customers and to optimising operations; and with the rebound in traffic being only a question of time, capacity issues remain high on the agenda.

We look forward to meeting you in Kuala Lumpur to discuss the current and future challenges and how we can best weather the storm while sustaining business excellence. The industry has had to tighten its belt, but we assure you that coming to Kuala Lumpur will be worth your time and expense. Working together and sharing valuable experience helps set us on a positive path, allowing us to rise above the turbulence and focus on a sustainable future for our industry.

Sincerely,
Angela Gittens
