 About Innovative Airports 2009
Innovative Airports is a series of four, one day conferences that examine how airports are striving to ensure long term excellence of passenger service. The conferences will explore how Innovation and Intelligent Design are key to the delicate act of service excellence and financial sustainability.
Choice of conferences -Airport Design and Development (Tuesday October 6, 2009) -Sustainable Green Airports (Wednesday October 7, 2009) -IT and Automation (Thursday October 8, 2009) -Secure Airports (Friday October 9, 2009) For the very first time, the inter airport Europe conference: "Innovative Airports", will be co-located with the leading inter airport Europe exhibition and both events will take place the the Messe Munchen International (Munich Trade Fair Cente), a new and bigger venue. The inter airport Europe Conference the conference flanking the airport industry's key trade fair for equipment, technology, design and service will take place in Munich yet again this year. Munich has hosted this high-tech trade fair for five years. Due to space limitations, this year's exhibition and conference will be staged for the first time at the Messe München International trade fair facility. I am very pleased that this major industry meeting point has practically found a home in the Bavarian capital - this is a vote of confidence for Munich's excellence as an aviation location and also underscores the international importance of Munich Airport, which ranks among Europe's top ten. Innovations drive every sector of the economy, even more so in the current economic crisis and the aviation industry has always played a trailblazing role in the development of new technologies. Airports in particular must also brace themselves to face future challenges in an increasingly tough competitive environment. This includes sustainability issues as well as our obligation to our customers and airport neighbours to handle air traffic while consuming as few resources as possible. Take advantage of the interesting conference opportunities at the 17th inter airport Europe Exhibition from October 6 until October 9 2009; learn about the challenges faced by 21st Century Airport Cities through presentations and face-to-face discussions and gain valuable experience for your company. The first day is dedicated to the theme Airport Design and Development. Day 2 will examine Sustainable Green Airports. The third day will address processes in the area of IT and Automation, and on the final day of the conference sessions, Secure Airports will be on the agenda. Inter airport Europe is the airport industry’s international meeting point for buyers, vendors, specifiers, decision makers, architects, consultants and system integrators. The show encompasses all aspects of airport equipment, technology, design and services. Please note that a conference pass to Innovative Airports does not include access to the inter airport Europe exhibition.
