Winning Strategies for Airport & Airline Operators

June 29-30 2006

Palermo, italy

The Changing Operating Environment
The emergence in recent years of commercially driven, global airport operators and low-cost airlines has led to a competitive environment that is totally
re-shaping our industry. At the same time, new airport business models are emerging such as low-cost carrier bases and ‘express’ integrator hubs.

Choosing the Right Strategy
Closer investigation of the major airport groups shows that there is no one corporate structure or single development strategy that will guarantee success. The diversity of corporate structures and differing styles of approach produce a group of industry case studies that highlight the numerous forms of ‘winning strategies’ available to airport operators and low-cost airlines.

The Conference and Exhibition
‘Winning Strategies for Airport and Airline Operators’ is a two-day conference and exhibition taking place in the spectacular and beautiful setting of Castle Utveggio in Palermo on June 29-30, 2006. The conference programme will feature senior airport and airline executives and leading industry experts who will outline their strategies for success.

The Programme Content
The programme is designed to provide answers to many of the key questions facing airport and airline managers today.

These include:
• What are the lessons learned to date?
• Has privatisation been the ‘winning strategy’ for airports or simply a means to the end?
• What are the emerging new airport and airline business models?
• How can airports and airlines build upon their individual unique position to develop their ‘winning strategy’?
• How can executives successfully manage the development and implementation of new business models?

The Audience
The following people will benefit from attending ‘Winning Strategies For Airport & Airline Operators’. Airport Executives, CEO’s, Managing Directors, Board Members, Senior and Middle Management, Airline Executives, Aviation Regulators, Key Industry Suppliers and Solution Providers, COOs, New Route Development Directors, Directors of Planning and Marketing Directors.

The conference will have simultaneous broadcasts in Italian and English.

Cocktail Reception held at Baia Del Corallo

June 29, 2006

Gala Dinner

The Gala Dinner will be held at the Palazzo Alliata

Palazzo Alliata, di Pietratagliata is situated in the heart of historic Palermo. It is near the busy market street Via Bandiera which is normally swarming with people who wander around the colourful market stalls. In comparison the sober elegance of the palazzo engulfs the visitor. A vivid example of the best tradition of Southern Italy, where the aristocracy and the working class live side by side, separate yet close to each other.
