The dynamic market
Created by the merger of ACI’s Asia and Pacific regions, Asia-Pacific is the fastest growing of all ACI’s regions and possibly the most dynamic in terms of airport development and traffic growth.

Its 100 members operate 448 airports in 51 countries and territories across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, which between them handled 1.1 billion passengers (+10%), 31.3 million tonnes of cargo and 10.4 million aircraft movements in 2006.

And the best is yet to come with ACI predicting that if current growth levels continue across Asia-Pacific – traffic is currently growing by 100 million passengers per annum – the region will overtake Europe and North America as the largest aviation market in the next 10 years.

According to ACI’s World Airport Traffic Report (WATR) 2006, China has caught up with Japan in terms of passenger numbers, each accounting for 20% of the region’s traffic. They are followed by Australia (10%) and India (8%). India is the region’s fastest growing market, registering a 34% rise in passenger traffic.

The region’s tradition of investing in new airports will continue in 2008 with the opening of new gateways in Hyderabad and Bangalore and the first cargo flights being handled at Dubai World Central. Unlike most other industries, the airport industry continues to spend during economic downturns due to the long-term nature of the capital expenditure programmes and the immense challenge of continuing to meet the astonishing increases in demand for air transportation.

It is this exciting industry that ACI Asia-Pacific represents and Asia-Pacific Airports magazine serves.

What is ACI?
The Airports Council International (ACI), created in 1991, is the international association of the world's airports. It is a non-profit organisation, the prime purpose of which is to foster co-operation among its member airports and with other partners in world aviation, including governmental, airline and aircraft manufacturing organisations.

Through this co-operation, ACI makes a significant contribution to providing the travelling and shipping public with an air transport system that is safe, secure, efficient and environmentally compatible.

What is Asia-Pacific Airports?
The sister publication of Airport World, Asia-Pacific Airports is the new quarterly publication of ACI
Asia-Pacific.

The magazine will act as a key communication tool for ACI Asia-Pacific and provide a forum for airport related news, views and features. It will also provide a vehicle for airports to promote and market themselves, and a direct route for suppliers of products and services.

Interviews with the top management at airports around the world as well as exclusive analyses of
ACI data, make up a major proportion of the magazine's contents.

Editorial features include:
• Passenger and cargo services
• Concessions and real estate
• Infrastructure and engineering
• Information Technology
• Construction and design
• Finance and planning
• Air traffic control
• Project watch
• Environment
• Security
• News

Asia-Pacific Airports delivers a powerful and cohesive editorial package. The articles are concise, intelligent, and clearly written, striving to provide the airport industry with an unparalleled strategic business magazine.

Who will read Asia-Pacific Airports?
Asia-Pacific Airports magazine is distributed to a broad range of job titles within these airports, from CEO and General Managers to the heads of operational divisions and departments, as well as World Business Partners (WBPs) and regional associates. Asia-Pacific Airports also gives airports key access to airline management, which make up 10% of the magazine’s circulation.

More than 4,000 copies of Asia-Pacific Airports magazine are mailed to named individuals. It enjoys bonus distribution at all ACI Asia-Pacific events and other key aviation related conferences and exhibitions across the region, such as Routes Regional Asia, Inter Airport (China + India), Airport Cities World Conference & Exhibitions, Airport Build and Supply and Aerodrome India.

What are the benefits of advertising in Asia-Pacific Airports?
• It is 100% dedicated to the ACI Asia-Pacific region
• The distribution is unique as it is based on ACI’s own mailing list, which is continually being updated
• Suppliers and airports are able to market themselves to ACI Asia-Pacific Airports and airlines for less than one US dollar per airport (based on placing a full page advert in a single issue of Asia-Pacific Airports magazine)
• As the official ACI Asia-Pacific magazine, Asia-Pacific Airports can provide exposure to delegates at all ACI Asia-Pacific events through bonus distribution. By distributing the magazines at these important events, your message can be reinforced to all attendees. If you are exhibiting it can support your presence, and if you can’t make it to the show your message is still there s.
